Very comfortable for my larger hand size. Then after many years it died. I moved on to Logitech mice which were all the craze and never really liked them, comfort and laser were not as good to me. Then came along the Microsoft sidewinder x8 which made me happy again. I used it for bf2 wow crisis solid works, photoshop, 3dsmax and now bf3 and it had all the right functions. Wireless, on the go during game play quick grab the magnetic power cord with the mouse while still playing and it would be recharging (freckling genius design), never had a problem with lag or battery performance or recharging. Worked on my frosted glass desk and “next to” any surface I could throw at it (minus crappy cloth mouse pad, but who wants that crap on their desk or to carry around with them? Probably why they didn’t sell we’ll….. Should of advertised throw your crappy cloth mouse pad away and it would not of had any bad reviews), anyways it is still running strong even though they are no longer in production….. It has sideways scroll clicking which is extremely useful, and I barely see it implemented on many mice these days, it had very comfortable quite smooth scrolling, also not seen on many mice these days, and finally the side buttons where vertically arranged which is very comfortable and hard to miss click, which I have not seen on any mice as yet……

Finally I want a more portable mouse for a surface pro, of course the hockey puck with the sidewinder is too bulky to carry, I don’t mind a large mouse, but the puck and its USB cord is too much. I never cared much about high dpi, it just makes the mouse move faster……which to me is not as accurate. I think this mouse if it can live near its 0.8ms response time will be beating my x8 and with a battery life of a year then who needs a wired charging solution, and finally I tried the rat9 for egos in the shop and if its like that it should be sufficient for my hands (but that can only be determined after prolonged use) and the four way button might surfice

I’ll see if I can’t organise one. It’ll keep me out of mischief for a while. I have a soft spot for MadCatz mice & headphones.
