Actually, the store should’ve advised him to back it up BEFORE doing a single thing. It’s procedure. Asking in hindsight is just stupid and unprofessional. But yeah, a backup of the 15 years of contacts could’ve been easily done. Most people that age have a ledger as well.
But photos and such things aren’t that easy to backup, considering he was 68 years old and probably didn’t even own a proper PC of sorts to transfer to. I am honestly surprised he even had a “smart”phone… a rare sight indeed. Students know by heart how to do that shit. Old people can barely text message…
